Mr Mike Kitney – Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Kitney is an internationally experienced extractive metallurgist and mineral economist with over 40 years of international experience in mine operations, project and feasibility management. Mr Kitney’s particular strengths are in production and mineral processing management, all aspects of environmental management, project evaluation and assessment and management of interdisciplinary project teams. Mr Kitney was previously a Non-Executive Director of Western Australian gold explorer Breaker Resources NL from 2010 until its ~A$130M takeover by Ramelius Resources Ltd in 2023, and also held senior technical and management positions with Alcoa Australia, British Phosphate Commissioners, Minproc Engineers, Nelson Gold Corporation, Kasbah Resources Ltd and Prospect Resources Ltd. Mr Kitney holds a Master of Science degree from the WA School of Mines (Mineral Economics).

Mr Peter Koller – Non-Executive Director

Mr Koller has over 35 years’ experience in the finance sector and company promotions/marketing. With a background in commodities stock, index and option trading/hedging in the Australian futures markets, he helped establish and market the successful algorithmic trading fund Whitehaven Correlation Fund and later held a senior advisory role in capital raisings via Pulse Markets. Mr Koller holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, and has previously worked with Bankers Trust Australia Limited, Macquarie Bank Australia Limited, ABN AMRO Bank (Netherlands) and SBC Warburg Australia Limited (formerly SBC Australia Limited).

Ms Kate Stoney – Executive Director – Finance, Joint Company Secretary

Ms Stoney has over 15 years’ experience working in accounting, administration and company secretarial positions in listed companies. She is a CPA qualified accountant who studied at Edith Cowan University holding a Bachelor of Business degree (Double Major in Accounting and Finance).

Management

Mr Michael Fotios – Chief Executive Officer

Mr Fotios is a geologist specialising in economic geology, with extensive experience across a variety of minerals. He is principal consultant to Obsidian Metals Group Pty Ltd, which was appointed as technical advisor to Scorpion in April 2022.

As founding Managing Director of Galaxy Resources Ltd, Mr Fotios oversaw the progression of the future Mt Cattlin Mine from a maiden mineral resource estimate through to the bankable feasibility study stage. Michael later served as Executive Chairman of General Mining Corporation Ltd (GMM), which entered into a joint venture with Galaxy to profitably mine Mt Cattlin and establish GMM as an independent supplier of spodumene concentrate to the global lithium market.

Mr Fotios’ tenure at GMM included the creation of significant shareholder value, culminating in the acquisition of GMM by Galaxy in 2016 in a transaction valued at $216 million. Galaxy’s subsequent merger with Orocobre Ltd (now Allkem Ltd) produced the fifth-largest global lithium producer. With associated entities, Mr Fotios was also a long-term substantial shareholder in Liontown Resources Ltd during the exploration phase of the Kathleen Valley Lithium Project, now under development as one of the world’s largest lithium mines.

Mr Josh Merriman – Joint Company Secretary

Mr Merriman is an experienced finance professional who has held positions with public and private companies across several sectors.
